![]() Most reviewers comment on the quality of the sunglasses and how affordable the designs are. Yelp ranks this eyewear business with a 4.5/5-star rating from over 160 reviews. They are for the pleasure-seekers of the world, the ones who lust for life’s adventure, and the people who will not stop until they find it.”īased on reviews written on Trustpilot and Yelp, this Blenders Eyewear review found a generally positive consensus on their sunglasses. “Blenders was founded on passion and we pride ourselves on radical design that unabashedly pushes you outside your comfort zone. He used his background as a sponsored athlete to create his signature sunnies with a more athletic aesthetic. From there, he started selling shades out of his backpack while keeping his job as a surf coach. ![]() Instead of a night filled with great music and friends, it turned into the beginnings of Blenders Eyewear.īlenders only became serious when Fisher found out that one company lords 80% of the global eyewear market, which is why the prices are out of this world. Fisher was wearing his neon green ‘beater’ sunglasses, and it gained an overwhelmingly positive response from onlookers. They're more expensive but at least they last.It all started when founder Chase Fisher dropped by a downtown San Diego Nightclub to hear his favorite DJ with his pair of flashy sunglasses. I'm not sure if these quality issues are due to supply chain problems or simply lowering product quality due to inflation, but I'm considering moving back to Oakley. Regardless, shouldn't "sun" glasses be able to withstand the sun itself? Along with that, the super fragile and thin frame of my Nocturnal Q X2's just broke after simply removing them from my face. I was told this is because of heat, though I live in northern Illinois and keep my glasses indoors when not used. Now a recent pair of "This is Livin'" are beginning to bubble/peel. It first started with a pair of Keen’s where the lens began bubbling/peeling, they were replaced under warranty and the new pair is doing the same. I decided to order a few more models and they're all defective. I’ve owned a pair of original Nocturnal Q’s from a few years ago and they’re still going strong. I’m disappointed with the quality of my Blenders as of recent. ![]() Giving 2 stars here because I did like the shades before they started delaminating, but man what a bummer that they are not built to last at all. ![]() They did offer me first a discount on a future purchase and then a $25 gift card, but there's no way I'm buying another pair of ~$60 sunglasses that won't last me a year, even with a discount. I reached back out to customer service, and was told that there's a "max limit per warranty" so they couldn't send me a new pair (as mentioned, the model I had is no longer produced anyway) or issue me any kind of refund. Worth noting, I'm careful with my sunglasses and take good care of them, so two pairs having the same issue is a clear manufacturing defect. Great! Except fast forward 8 months, and the new pair started delaminating too. I reached out to customer service, sent in a couple of pictures, and since I was within the one-year warranty, they sent me a new pair at no charge. However, within less than a year, the mirrored coating started to delaminate, leaving black spots on the lenses. I have a couple pairs of Costa del Mar sunglasses that are obviously more expensive and better quality, but for everyday/non-technical wear, the Blenders shades were good enough, plus stylish and fun, and they became my favorite pair of shades. I bought a pair of Blenders sunglasses (the "Hot Diggity" model, suspiciously no longer made) in July 2021 and initially loved them. ![]()
